  • Watersheds 2014: Edited Proceedings

    The Watersheds 2014 edited proceedings organizes and summarizes the presentations given, questions raised, and discussions held during the forum. This written record is not simply intended as a summary for those who attended Watersheds 2014. It is also designed to be a resource and reference document for anyone researching or working on implementing innovative new decision-making practices and processes within their watershed.

  • Discussion Series – Water Governance in the Columbia & Great Lakes: A Preliminary Analysis of Treaty Discourses

    The “Coffee & Co-Creation Discussion Series” is an initiative of the WSP and the Water, Innovation, and Global Governance (WIGG) Lab, based at the University of Victoria. The first Coffee & Co-Creation event featured the work of Jennifer Mateer, a PhD student in the Department of Geography.   • Resilience Analysis Workshop Summary 

    This document discusses resilience thinking and provides a summary of a resilience analysis workshop held in June 2013 in the Cowichan watershed on Vancouver Island. The two-day workshop introduced local stakeholders to incorporating the resilience perspective into watershed management and governance.

    The event was held at the Quw’utsun’ Cultural and Conference Centre in Duncan, B.C. and co-led by researchers from the University of Victoria’s POLIS Project on Ecological Governance, the Water, Innovation, and Global Governance Lab, and Brock University’s Environmental Sustainability Research Centre.
